This full-time role is ideal for an experienced welder who can interpret technical drawings, perform high-quality welds, and contribute to the production of durable, precision-engineered mining equipment in a safety-first environment.

Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineered drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications with minimal supervision
- Fit and weld designated Level I parts efficiently and accurately
- Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment using GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, and OAW processes
- Prepare metal parts using hand tools, bench grinders, and cutting equipment
- Operate metal cutting, shaping, straightening, and bending machines, including bandsaws
- Perform flame and plasma cutting for repairs and fabrication
- Safely operate material handling equipment such as overhead cranes, gantry cranes, and forklifts
- Assist with equipment and product repairs as required
- Document Engineering Change Requests in accordance with company procedures
- Follow all safety policies and wear required PPE at all times
Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma or Certificate of Completion
- 1+ year of experience in fitting and welding
- Completion of a Welding Certificate of Qualification (C of Q) or relevant college/industry welding courses (preferred)
- Ability to work in a factory environment with prolonged standing and walking
- Willingness to work in fluctuating temperatures
- Ability to pass a background check prior to employment
