Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage functional and detailed design for municipal and land development projects
  • Oversee projects involving utilities, roadworks, site servicing, and stormwater management
  • Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams, including junior staff and sub-consultants
  • Liaise with municipal agencies, utility providers, and government approval authorities

  • Commit to continuous professional development and technical learning
  • Support career growth of junior staff through mentoring, coaching, and technical guidance
  • Participate in professional associations and industry committees

Business Development

  • Identify and contribute to new business opportunities
  • Maintain and grow client relationships
  • Support proposal and statement of qualification preparation
  • Travel to other Dillon offices as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Manitoba or eligible within six months
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in civil infrastructure projects
  • Proven leadership and project management experience
  • Strong knowledge of municipal infrastructure standards and environmental approvals
  • Ability to meet Dillon’s Health & Safety expectations

Skills

  • Municipal infrastructure design (water, wastewater, roads, stormwater, site servicing)
  • Project and contract management (MMCD, CCDC contracts)
  • Waste management and trenchless technologies (asset)
  • Business development and client relationship management
  • Strong proposal writing, reporting, and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Leadership, organization, and interpersonal effectiveness
