Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate, assign, and supervise work for specialized livestock workers, farm machinery operators, and laborers
- Move and prepare products for shipment, especially during winter months
- Supervise breeding programs and livestock-related operations
- Maintain farm cleanliness and ensure equipment is properly cared for
- Monitor and enforce procedures for animal and crop health and welfare
- Supervise crop-growing operations, including grains and other produce
- Tap trees for maple syrup production in all weather conditions
- Maintain farm infrastructure, equipment, and supplies
- Ensure compliance with farm safety and operational procedures
- Perform general farm duties as needed and assist with seasonal tasks
Requirements
- Punctual and reliable with strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Drivers license is an asset
- Ability to operate farm machinery and perform mechanical tasks is an asset
- Comfortable working with small animals
- Able to work in all weather conditions, including evenings and weekends when required
