WAGE RANGE DOE: $22-24/hour
SUPERVISES: No supervision of other staff required at this time
Job Summary:
The Accounting Assistant is responsible in assisting with the organization of the accounting office operations and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency. This position will be the first point of contact and interface with owners in the communities, regarding accounting and database information. The list below is not intended to cover all individual responsibilities, rather a global overview of responsibility.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining owner database accounts for all community associations
- Answer and help resolve owner inquiries
- Update owner information in current accounting software system
- Administer lockbox payments
- Process escrow demands for property sales and accurately transfer owner information in the software
- Print welcome letters for new owners and ensure they are mailed with accurate attachments
- Assist owners with the online portal
- Print and mail statements and monthly late notices
- Assist Accounting Department with additionally assigned tasks
- Maintain clean and organized work environment
- Able to effectively handle multiple tasks
- Maintain professional appearance, demeanor and positive attitude
- Communicate in a professional, respectful and courteous manner with all employees, clients, the Board of Directors, and others with whom we may work

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook
- Must be highly detail oriented
- Naturally self-motivated, confident individual with ability to work independently and/or with limited direction, as well as cooperatively in a team environment, while consistently demonstrating collaborative, respectful and productive work habits
